I live about 35 miles away from Clinton IA. I fish those two pools all the time. I might have to try my hand on the non-boater side. The team supreme tournaments in that area have been pulling 18-20 pound 6 fish limits all summer. My club has been about the same. It is fun fishing in August on pool 13. I love it.

I’m only about 30 miles from Clinton so I also spend most of my time on 13 & 14. 14 seemed to start out real hot this year but sort of slowed down. I generally can’t catch as many or as large of fish on 14 as I do 13. Take a look at the results of this summers Team Supreme tournaments on pool 13 and you’ll see the weights are pretty comparable to the northern sections of the river. Like the tennispro said, the lower stable water this summer made for some real fun fishing.

Im down by clinton also- 14 is about 10 min from my house and can be good, 13 is great but ask anyone who fished BFL 2 years ago and the lock can be a mess with 120 boats going through. Happy to help out if you want to come down and check it out, but I do not get to get out as much as I would like due to work and family.
