    Hey glenn,
Are you still using those spinnerbaits in Greymore….
Cut that blade off and slow it down a little then add a 5″ kalins trailer. Then get back to me… -grin-

    Jc,
I was in Gremore, but in a different spot. With the water up, I just relocated and found the fish. I caught them on a short-arm spinnerbait. What you told me to do, with the spinnerbait, is basically like making a swiming jig.

You crack me up…. Yep that’s what I was saying. I often wonder if I need to add illustrations to get my point across.

Presenting a smaller profile along with slower presentation would have gotten you more strikes than the spinnerbait. You would have had success with a rattle trap as well if the fish were chasing as they were Saturday. I would have still combed the area with a jig making sure I got the Big Fish bites. Keep it up and report often.

    Jc,
I know what you are saying about the slower presentation and size of the bait you throw. That is why I choose a short-arm, compact spinnerbait. But i can see how a swiming jig, or a cut up spinnerbait would do the same.
I threw the rattle trap on Sunday and never got a hit, I got 1 on a bandit and my friend got all of his casting a walley diver.

You should have out fished your friend. I fear you were not at the right depth. Next time out use the Rattle Trap a little more and try to fish deeper. I like a 1/2 oz rattle trap if they are relating to the warmer bottom than the cooler top. food for thought.
