Pool 3 and lower st croix- swim jig colors

    I have a tourney on the lower st. croix and pool 3 this weekend. I fish swim jigs a lot but don’t fish the river much. Do dark colors- black, brown, purple tend to work best on the river?

    The main forage on the croix and pool 3 is shad and crawfish. On pool 3 I would go with whites and on the cleaner water of the croix, I would go with a more translucent pearl trailer or try a brown/green pumpkin. There’s not much for panfish on these stretches so i would stick with the afformentioned colors. Hope that helps.
