Had a blast this past week with some great guide customers. For the two weeks before that I had been following the bass farther and farther up in cuts and creeks, and finally it was either a 2 minute walk to shore fish or a 35 minute maze of a boat ride, and to a man everybody chose the walk. So we started some mornings shore fishing. What a blast, we caught an unbelievable number of fish and some Nice bass. Then spent half of the day or more out in the boat working rock points and slop. Pictures are just coming back and some are already up on my guide site.(Sorry I’m not allowed to post the link anymore now that I am a regular regular.) The main patterns we have seen are, extremely shallow water about 3-12 inches. Dinks and nice fish together. Dark tubes still working best. Fish at ambush points rather than right on the bait,(just two weeks ago no baitfish meant few fish). We caught very few large fish on the channel, almost all backwater, and the lumber and grass bite that seemed like it would never come has. Lawrence
