After todays baseball games, my dad and i went out in MY boat to fish for largemouth. We tried rubber worms at first and didnt catch anything. Then we moved into the “honey hole” and got into them. This spot might be firmiliar to some, considering it is visible from the road of goose island..Many people near by saw us catching bass. We were throwing Zoom superflukes and it was a blast! I caught some big bass on this last night in the same area so we gave it a try. I was happy to see my dad catch some good fish today, (including the biggest) on a bait that he has never used before. He did a great job! Final score, 6-5 with my dad beating me by one…I lost two at the end that would have put me in the lead but o well..it was a great time.. O yah, one more thing, of the 11 bass caught, 8 of them were legal size!! Thats great!!!

My biggest bass..A 17 incher..Tried to net her but she got in the trolling motor and i had to lip her. She was unbelievably skinny compared to the rest which had been gorging on baby pike.

Great job & nice fish!!! Just wondering if you are going to be the youngest man ever to have his own televised fishing show. Sure seems like you know how to catch the fish!

    Nice fish Cade!

That corner at Goose Island seems to hold fish (LM. smallies, walleyes, crappies…) almost all of the time.

I’m glad you let your dad win.

I enjoy reading your posts, BigFish….I have an 11-year old who outfishes me everytime.

How do you rig your flukes? I’ve never really fished them, although I do have a bag of white ones (pearl) in my tackle box. I know lots of guys have success on them. Maybe I’ll post this out on the board too. Keep up the great stuff.

bigfish, Your posts are great. I am really glad to know that cool younger guys like you are around to continue the tradition of fishing. I especially like hearing how your fishing skills and knowledge are growing. Keep taking your Dad fishing too, you will someday cherish these memories. Take care bud, and thanks!
