I fished 13 on Saturday. I worked for my fish. Boated approx. 20 and caught my biggest river fish yet. She was full of eggs and would have gone 6 or 6 1/2lbs. She tasted great. Just joshin’ yall, she went back in the drink promptly. I was tickled. I also caught a couple in the 4-5 lb range. Following this cold front they did not want moving baits. Bummer, with the wind we encountered (20-30MPH) it would have been much more enjoyable to fish moving baits. Most fish were caught on Willowcats trolled on three ways. Just kidding!!!! Most came on jig and pig. With the dropping water and falling water temps they were tight to cover near deeper water. You had to drop the bait on their noses. Still managed about 20 fish in 4 hours or so. After I figured them out the bite came pretty quick. Hopefully I will continue to learn and catch.

Congratulations. I can count the number of bass over 6 pounds caught in the river on no fingers. If you took one out of 13, you deserve a reward. That’s one hell of a river bass. Pictures?????

Yes I have pics on my cell phone, any idea how to download and post these??? I fished 13 again yesterday, a few miles downstream from my Sat locations. I caught one fish that would have weighed. The bite was really slow and I was fishing areas that I had never been to before. I am fishing 13 again tomorrow if the weather is half decent. I am hopeing that after the last few days of stable weather te bite will improve.

Robby, send the picture on the phone to your email account and then send it in to this site. Should work and we would love to see the fish.

Robby we’ll get this figured out. First you must save the picture to a file you can get later. Then you can attach the file to your post and it should show up. Otherwise you will have to contact a site admin type guy or web master

BA, Last night I sent the pic to this sites webmaster. It is not yet posted. Maybe there is some type of techno problem. Please send your email address to [email protected] and I will send the pic to you. I am sorry that I am not more computer literate. The owners manual to my cell phone is 122 pages, the kids at work are teaching me instead of trying to understand that stuff. Please give me some slack.

By the way, cool cartoon. I just received that yesterday, wish I knew how to send fun stuff like that to places other than email addresses.

Wow, you must be in a 25 foot boat and be 8 foot tall!

B.A. I sent the pic to your email also. I will agree not the best of pics, but it shows the basic size of this sow, now understand holding a big fish and taking the pic yourself is not the easiest task. I did not even think about the sun angle. Sorry! Any more scrutiny? Make it quick, I am leaving for the Ely area shortly.
