    Garlic scent-my partner on Wednesday nights put’s that on his crankbaits and catches mostly pike. I might have to give that a try on the river.

    You think garlic scent is pretty cool? Try this remedy: Take three quarters bottle of fish formulla ll and fill to the top with garlic powder. It works for crappies & bass. Another Idea: mix one part formulla ll to three parts pork rind solution and soak your pigs in it for three weeks or more. It really softens them up and makes them swim. {John}

    I might have to try that as a marinade for Rib Eye Steaks on the grill

    I think certain times scents can make a big difference, and I like Kick-n-bass by far the best.

    I use mostly the Crawfish scent. The garlic is good, but holy man is it strong, and really tough to get off the boat. I want to try the shad/anise next.

    Bang crawfish makes a difference,(used on hairjigs), somedays and none others? A lot of plastics I use are already scented, or flavored. We notice about five years ago that a scented tail(Mister Twister banana), out fished non-scented . I think if we were asking this of a lot of central Minnesota crawler fishermen we would find out that WD 40 goes on every crawler(live) that goes in the water. I fished a tourney up on Lake Osakis about three years ago and pssssssst, is all you here in a group of boats and the smell is unmistakeable. Many of the boats even smell of it. Those that use it say the difference is night and day.
    Not suggesting using it, just mentioning that those using a scent apparently do better than those that don’t. Lawrence
