With the heat we seem to be in the dog days of summer, not that I’m complaining cause winter seemed to hold on for ever, Anyhow the bass bite seems to have slowed a bit to does anyone have any techniques that have been working well for them?
Top water in the AM and PM will produce for me but not as consistant as I would hope.

If you get in the slop during mid day and be patient you will get some fish. Think s l o w.

during mid day in heavy vegetation I usually pitch/flip texas rigged flippin tube or or a good old 7″ plastic worm. Getting the fish to find your bait in thick weeds is really a big part of the trick add rattlers or a bead and ticker between the bullet sinker and hook. The noise definitely makes a difference, without it you might as well just reel in and pitch again if you don’t get a bite on the fall, but with them you can shake the lure in place and the fish will come to you eventually.
