I think I’m going to buy my girlfriend a new 20ft Blazer bass boat with a 250hp Yammie on the back!

    You think she’ll dig it?

the ony way you can afford to get your girlfriend “cool stuff she’ll like” is if you don’t tell your wife!

    Krista,
You are creating quite a ruckus with the young guys on the board. Its not often that every mans dream comes along. I assume you have a big stick to beat off all these young single guys. I suspect it won’t be long until that Valentine position is filled.

Fishing with your girlfriend is great …… that is until you take her out and she catches more fish than you when you are genuinly trying and it gets brought up to your friends every day.

    O-well it could be worse…..maybe

    Hey Catch-
Honestly I don’t think you should do it. If you were truely ready for that, you would never be shacking or questioning it. You will know when the time is right! [censored]…if your shackin to by the ring, how the heck are you gonna be able to walk down the isle?

Sorry if this isn’t what you wanted to hear, just thought you might want a girls opinion! Good luck!

That is exactly what I was think. I was even sent a sign. Its not uncommon for me to dream of catching a fish or shooting a deer but, this is a first for me I had a dream about a shimano stradic. Now this truely had to be a sign right. Well either way i am taking it as a sign and will purchase one in the very near future.

I guess I overexagerated abit. No shaking, no tremors just a strong unnerving feeling. I was thinking (hoping) that it was more of an inherent fear that is common among men, especially in a situation like this. I’m guessing it’s why so many guys have such a difficult time committing to anything other than something that is tried and true like a new Blazer or 6pk of St Croix’s . Thank you all for the input though ‘cus I will take it all into consideration…a root canal is more pleasant?!? Man, that seals the decision right there .

Just a note though…If I do p-p-p-propose (hard to get that out now) it’ll be after VDay so it’s a much bigger surprize. She might have an idea that she’s getting a ring.

The tough part is if the ring comes first there may never be a boat!
    AWW hell just do it.
Really, fishing alone for the rest of your life, whenever you want to go or being able to come home to a few rug-rats and a wife that never wants you to go out cause the kids are driving her crazy.
The choice is simple. Give her the ring!

It’s not really that bad. I’ve made worse decisions. Although I was able to sell that Ford EXP 2 seater for a few bucks when I was done with it.
I better stop now cause I am starting to rethink this whole thing as well.
    Good Luck

Go for it. It turns out better in the long run. Girlfriends get mad when you spend time fishing and away from them. Wives just tell you to get the heck out of the house.
