Just starting this post because I figure I might as well be discussing fishing if I’m not actually out there doing it. Curious to know what people’s favorite river crankbaits are? I’ll list a few of mine. Mann’s baby 1- in chartreuse/blue, Norman Middle N in Tomato Craw or Chart/Blue, and Bandit 200 series crankbaits. I found a Bandit 200 crankbait in a color called “black red sparkle.” I’m pretty excited about it because it baisically looks like a tube of the same color, and I always whack em good on black red glitter tubes.

You can’t beat a baby n and rat-l-trap in chrome and blue.

I’d have to say a #5 Fat Rap in crawdad and also firetiger color and Rat-L-Traps. Great for Smallies and Largemouth.
    Thanks, Bill

If I had to head to the river with just one crankbait it would be:

Spring: without a question, it is a #7 Shad Rap with chrome sides, blue back, and an orange belly.

Summer: 3/4 oz Gold Rattle Trap.

Fall: 3/4 oz Gold Rattle Trap.

Winter ( ice fishing ): a large Salmo Chubby with chrome sides and an orange back.
