D-nort is right on the money. When I was down there three years ago if it was not red you did not use it. I had a great time fishing bass down there also do not forget about the crappies as they are monsters. It is a big body of water so where I fished might not be anything like what you are fishing. Have a great time. I will be in Florida in 36 days to fish bass and the wait is driving me crazy!

When you are down there tell them about this site and if someone who fishes alot or guides or owns a Bait Shop would be interested in reporting on that area on this site have them contact us.
    Thanks, Bill

    Matt:
It should definitely be a pre-spawn bite during early March unless they have a really early spring. Was down there last year in late March/early April and fish were on the beds. Make sure you take it easy when you venture outside of the marked boat lanes. Sure is unnerving the first few times you slide over a stump. Hope you’ve got a stainless prop. Early spring can be tough because the weather’s so unstable. Florida strain are really wimps when it comes to cold fronts too. That said, just being down there and fishing is an awesome experience (while the rest of us are climbing the walls up here) and of course you’ve got a decent shot at some really big fish. My recommendation is to look for staging fish and look for hydrilla. I really like the Birch Creek, Mustang Creek, and Glade Creek areas. Good luck!

What’s up Jones?! I thought you might be a lurker forever.

Speaking of Texas, I’m ready to take your money on Sunday during TexHldm! Tony is going to show up; now we just need to get Al over again.

Don’t worry Al, we won’t take all of your money .

Sorry dude u just caught me in my 2nd 12pak

It was a good experience and i’d do it all over again..i’d prolly charge all the porn and beer to my room next time

It’s a reality based show and they want ya to do bad and they will stage it for ya to do bad..the winner of the how thing was a guide that actually worked for them…go figure..they left out a ton of stuff but oh well..not many people can say they’ve done it!

Talked with my bud from arkiville and he was running the camera boat for Denny in SW arkiville a couple days ago..he asked me if I wanted to give Denny a message and I said yes..kick him the pills for me like he did me lol …he told him and Denny just laughed and said he remembered me well lol and said”He just said this, “If that fella was in a tournament with ten other anglers…He would finish in the top ten”….damn smart arse!!
