What do you all think about those tubes… Funky huh.
I like the fact that they break up the body lines and give it a whole new look. It will definately get a good working over as soon as I can get back out and do a little poking around.

I agree JC, they look great. I like the blotchyness coloration to them…I’ve seen lots of lamprey and such creatures live that have similar colors…i’m excited as well to give them a try.

I actually prefer both the willow blade style blade, and gold coloration….i will definitly be picking some up.

I like the vibration of willow blades compared to colorado’s as well. I also think that as a co-angler, if you aren’t throwing a plastic from back boat, the spinner is another great follow up preso…depending on what you are fishing of course…

I used to be a blade guy, but have moved off of them in lieu of jigs and plastics… however, they appear to have the high-quality elements of high-end spinners, a definite plus. Question… what guage arm is that? Is it spring steel or titanium?

The thinner steel or titanium (like that of the Strike King Titaium Quad Fry French cut blades) REELY vibrates… construction and skirts look similar. I am guessing from the price, its steel… if its “limp” it out to be a great lure… something, of course, I might have to buy and try.

My eye, however, is caught by the tubes… wow… I will be looking for those. Any retailes have them yet in the LaCrosse area?

Nope, Right now I think the only place to get them is by calling team supreme. I should have the ecommerce site up in the next week or so. This will make things a little smoother.

Well thanks for sharing the positive words. Don’t be hate’n.
If you will only buy the spike it brand tubes then place your order. That is what they are. Spike it has been involved with Team Supreme for years. If you are going to gripe over 6 bucks in a spinnerbait then use your hand made ones.

I don’t even want to hear it, You all burn up 30 bucks a day in gas out on the water and then cry about the price of everything else. I think you just like to Beeeaaatch.

Crawford, you crabby again? Water’s getting hard… makes managing emotions more difficult, I know, but remember, it is Christmas, man!

Have a cup of hot totty, sit back and remember those you love, like, have helped, and pray for the rest! (Especially Slop Bass – he needs all the prayers he can get! )

As for “beeeeatching”… I try not to. Life’s too short, have fun, give people a hard time, expect people to reciprocate, and enjoy the opportunities we all have everyday.

d-nort… amen… but, admit it, when you get that THRASHING strike from a Northern on a long day with a tough bite… it gets you energized agian!

    Happy Holiday’s, gang!

Attached is my last fish of the year… it was small, but my family was with me… one of the best fish of the year… an unexpected bite in cold water from the shore with my dog swimming near the lure, my boy throwing stones, and my wife “discussing” why I should not be fishing… Ah, god bless. ~80 days until open water…

Naa not crabby yet. I just think there is a fine line between banter and bickering. I will admit that when I saw my first $20 lucky craft bait I was thinking who in there right mind would caugh up 20 bucks… After fishing them I will be the first to say you get what you pay for.

Tell ya all what. Anyone who doesn’t think they are worth the money just let me know and I will send you one on me. Here is the catch. If you place an order I want to hear the words…. I’m not worthy….

OK, Happpy holidays to you all. If I am on anyones christmas list reading the board… All I want is for you to drop Direct TV and switch to Dish Network… Long story…..

I am serious though. If you have given it a thought do it.

    JC:

I have no problem paying for something better. I love titanium spinnerbaits, even if pike bites get more costly.

I guess my question with the cost of the tubes isn’t so much the cost itself, but is it worth the difference in cost between a regular tube and these tubes. They are twice as much, are they worth that? I don’t know, some days maybe color can make that much of a difference, most days, I don’t think so. The comparison to lucky craft baits may not be entirely accurate, as a Sammy or a Pointer will have a different action compared to other topwaters/jerkbaits than cheaper baits, in addition to better color patterns. The action of these tubes I assume is the same as their other tubes, making color the only difference. I do like the new colors, especially the blaze and catalpa.

Are the new spinnerbaits on a steel frame?

Are there any plans for some darker swimming jigs too? I like the wide gap hook design.

D-Nort, brought something to my attention. I was wondering how many guys out there use tungsten weights?

I love tungston weights. I use them all the time. The only time i might use lead weights now is when im pre-fishing, or just out fun fishing. But even than, I usually still stick with the tungston.

I honestly hate tongston. They are to hard causing me to mis some of the nites I get. I like the size and weight but they need to be much softer. The other problem is that I can not tell what kind of bite I had when prefishing. You have definitive answers when fishing with led.

I use tungsten 90% of the time. I use the hardness to my advantage (can be VERY noisy if rigged right). I have missed some nice fish while using these, but have never considered it to be the hardness. JC brings up an interesting point. This is something I’ll keep an eye on. I do know after a day with a good tube bite (t-rigged), a painted lead bullet weight will have teeth marks all over it.

One thing that I do not like about tungsten is their inability to hold paint well. I have heard that Lake Fork is making black TG bullets though.

I guess in my case the advantages to using tungsten out-weigh the disadvantages. Get it? …”out-weigh” Aw jeez, it’s been a long day.

In regards to the Spike-a-delic tubes. I give them a good review. Seem to hold up decent too. A local dealer to me got a hold of them awhile back. I got to use them for a few weeks before I started hunting.

    More colors….
    Well Dan,
I made the trip over to Team Supreme Monday and saw the new colors for swimming jigs… Yep, they have some new colors. I am just hoping the JC pattern doesn’t make the shelves.
