With all the sadness and trauma going on in the world at the moment, it
is worth reflecting on the death of a very important person which almost went unnoticed last week. Larry La Prise, the man who wrote “The Hokey Poky”, died peacefully at age 93. The most traumatic part for his family was getting him into the coffin. They put his left leg in. And then the trouble started.

SHUT UP. You know it’s funny.

My daughter has a hokey pokey Elmo, and I’ll be sure to play it in memory tonight. I hope the batteries aren’t dead…

Good one. I hope the Hawks get to dance the Hokey Pokey a few more times this year. Particularly against that Bastage Badgers and GoFairs….

Im with you Jon but i fear you may have opened that proverbial can of worms- people on here seem kinda “hard up” for entertainment (see blazer boats post) and football heckling may incite a riot. Go hawks!

Got the seat belt on? We’re all about to slide quickly down winter’s roller coaster.

Personally, I like it when we can “shake it all about part.”

Double J, I’ve been killing the Smallies, Whites and Walleye on the Wapsi and Maq recently. Let me know if you are swinging up this way. I’ll put you on a few.

All, the football heckling is in good fun, I love your states and have many good friends in each. We are all midwest folks so nothing personal intended. It’s nice to see those teams doing so well so there actually is some heckling that can be done. Now Illinois on the other hand, you can’t even heckle them they are so bad.

Hey win or lose we still booze! Butcher is going down hard though. Roth will make sure of that in his visit to his home state. My only question is if Illinois will have as many fans at the stadium as Iowa…Minnesota and Northwestern always look like Kinnick North and East…

I know Illinois stinks in football. I believe they have a lousy coach myself. But we will be something to reckon with in basketball. I wonder how they match up in fishing. Isn’t there a Big Ten bass tourney every year? I mean that is the most important sport of all isn’t it?
