That’s all I hear coming from the Bass Forum lately. I know the water is on the rise and most of the guys here are still licking their wounds from the BFL, but there has to be something interesting to talk about in the world of Bass fishing.

Has anyone found any on-line articles that might be of interest?

It should be an interesting week next week only because Jeremy and Champman will be back from the BASS tourney in SD. They should have some stories to tell. Until then though, it’s aweful quiet maybe even too quiet.

I will offer this bit of info. New for ’05!

I can’t wait to get my hands on some of those baits!

    Well,

In repsonse to your NEW FOR ’05 link…

I’m not all that impressed with the DT series cranks….They are poorly made and continue to break off at the lip. Anyone else seen this?

I think you’ll start seeing these threads slow down and the hunting ones picking up….no more WED NIGHT CLUBBERS until next year (maybe one more Oct. 2nd)

I’ve had one break off since I’ve been throwing them, and you were with me when it broke. I do agree that they could do more to strengthen the lip. But then again Rapala would probably sell fewer cranks.

    OK, here’s a question.

Do you commonly find bass on the same migration routes as in the spring in the fall? I suspect not, as they likely move from winter to spawning in the spring, and summer homes to wintering grounds in the fall. Depending on where they lie though, I guess the routes could be the same.

Another question – How much do largemouth move in the fall? I know I have seen some caught in the same locations through the ice as where I caught them in summer. Probably some move and some don’t I imagine.

The tourney is a total of 3 days, so there are 2 days left.

In regards to the DT series cranks, I have also had them break at the lip. On one crank, the whole lip came out, but I was able to super-glue it back in place. It does catch fish though. I’ve caught good numbers and size of bass and pike on the DT 10.

MossBoss… post this by itself as a new post… I think it has merit for discussion. I know I would be interested in those that have information!

Maybe this means they might bring back some of the other rattlin’ fat rap colors too!

    Glass Fat Rap® Sizes 05 and 07
The classic Fat Rap gets a completely new look with a prismatic see-thru glass body that bounces light through the water. This square-lipped crankbait has improved rattles.

I’d happier than heck if they would come back with the original Fat Rap. Forget the rattles and fancy paint jobs.

That pic of the Fat Rap is one of the new products avail. in 2005 from rapala. It’ll be interesting to see a full line up of colors.

There’s only one model and one color to buy Chris, you just need a bunch of them
