I don’t know if I’m reading these river stage reports right.

If I go to this site and look at the forcast for pool 13 it says the river is going up over 4ft in 24 hrs. Is this right or am I misinterpreting the info?? Seems like it would take an awful lot of water and current to make a change like that. Wouldn’t that section of the river be totally unfishable?

Well I’m sure that will screw up my pattern for the tournament this weekend. I just hope it screws up everyone.

    Ken-

Am I crazy or does it look like they are predicting 4 ft rise?

I hesitated to say anything on my bass post about exactly how far our water has gone down, but we have a reference that we actually measure from and 2 3/4 feet is conservative for the last three days. We can’t be on the water before 4 PM today because of league tourney tonight so I don’t know about today. I did notice that late yesterday they were positioning a large boom crane on a barge on the upstream face of the dam about in the middle so maybe that had something to do with things. But with you folks flying up and us crashing down it sounds more like some boo boos by somebody??? or everybody controling the pools????? I hardly ever get to zip the Michael and the guys up at the Dresbach dam so I just couldn’t help my self I had to throw in that last comment

I interpreted it as going from 5.2 ft. to 6.3ft, then back down. Perhaps I’m reading it incorrectly.

It did indeed show a 4 foot rise but now it is only showing about 1.5ft. Whew! I was worried for a while. I also noticed the Maquoketa river was 130ft above flood stage earlier. That is fixed now. Maybe it threw off the model.

I’m glad someone else noticed the 4 foot rise. I thought I was nuts. The slight predicted rise is fishable, a 4 foot rise wouldn’t have been.
