For those of you southerners, i was wondering if there is a schedule for the pleasure boat lock between 14 and pool 15. Is it open 24 hours or is there a open and close period for it. I am new to the area and am looking for some advice. Any help would be appreciatted.
The pleasure boat lock (14A) is open only on weekends and holidays from Memorial day until Labor day. They usually open about 4-5 on Friday afternoon and lock until later in the evening 11-12pm. They again open early in the morning and lock until night. They are very accomodating, usually no more than about 20min wait and if there is a big event on either pool they extend lock hours. Be sure to respect the no wake in the LeClair canal. There are always a lot of pleasue boaters rafted up and dnr watches the area.
So if i am looking to lock through on a saturday or sunday monring at 6 in the morning do you think they would be open.
