Toms pattern: He would be pulling 12ozers out of the cooler while maintaining perfect baot control from inside the garage.

I figured that is what he WILL be doing tonight, I was just wondering what he would be doing if he were out fishing.

I think the best strategy may be a dozen mallard dekes and 6 woody dekes and a Bennelli.

Just to add on to MossBoss’s post…I would also keep an eye out for swooping birds…a good indication of shad being chased to the top by something. What would be chasing them? You figure it out!

Was out tonite on 7 and the bite was slow. Caught 2 LM off cut banks on chomper jigs and 2 smallies on wing dam. One on jig and one on jointed rapala. Warmer weather on the way.

    Well,

The battle for Supremecy in our Wed. Nighter was tough last night…REELGUY and I have been Battling back and forth all week, and last night was the showdown!!!

AND it wasn’t much of a showdown…Big fish was 2.1? or 2.1?, but the only thing that mattered was Our fish was bigger than REELGUYS!! lol

He caught this bad boy on a crank fishing an undercut bank?

Here’s our fish. Caught it on a tube….throwing into Wood. All of our fish came TIGHT to wood last night…Cold winds, rain, and 4 deer on an island. Good time.

Found out that the cut from french slough to the east channel is IMPOSSIBLE to get through. Not just cause of low water, but there is a fallen tree that blocks the path now….Time to get the chainsaw!!

    Hmmm… “our”, eh? Translation: ReelGuy’s Fish was samller than Slop’s PARTNER’s fish…

Yes, Slop was right, the weather was “interesting”… my partner asked about Thanksgiving dinner this year, what I was seeing from my deer stand, and where I might consider duck hunting this year…

    What’s up with the weather!?

Anyway, water temperature fell to 64 degrees… (yes, surface temp), but nonetheless, it has cooled off over 10 degrees in a week. We caught fish EVER spot we went, but nothing over 13″… okay, one, but barely!

    Although, I did catch a 10# 34+ northern… (fat fish… pretty cool) and a ~6# flat-head catfish on a 7″ powerworm… hmmmm…

All in all, great company, good smack talk at the landing, and weather. We all had fun discussing Slop’s “secret” spot…

YES, OUR fish…..Funny how I thought it was a team event, but i forgot you’re all about YOU….doesn’t matter that it was MY “secret” spot that produced this fish….

    Come with it!!

ReelGuy – I see that we’re on 7 next week. I don’t think we’ll be fishing that pool during the day, but I could possibly find out where they are on 8 and maybe find a similar pattern on 7?

I’m not a big fan of pool 7, so you may have to show me the spots next week!

If I didn’t know better I would think Reelguy and Slop Bass were married. The way they bicker back and forth and all. Anyway good job.

Another Wed. Nighter, and another QUEST for DOMINANCE….I wasn’t even sure i was going to be able to fish last night as I had no boat/partner. Turns out I ended up going w/another member’s co-worker who had never gone BASS fishing before, . I used the best of my guiding abilities to put us on some fish, and he ended up catching the keepers from the back of the boat Good thing for me we’re all about the TEAM concepts <Remember RG!!!>

And of course, the main thing was. WE BEAT REELGUY <again>

REELGUY did however have big fish for the night w/a 2.6SMB pictured here.

Interesting night with the storms rolling through just before launch and the wind that was so strong… hard to feel the plastics… Switched to cranks and caught dinner…

Then, moved on to areas out of the wind to find active bass working shad, and could NOT get bit! Amazing… oh well, all I know is after last night, “MINE” is *still* BIGGER than Slop’s!

Gentlemen…..for those of you following our wacky wednesday nighters, let me give you a preview of tonight’s activities…..

Providing the weather holds and we do fish tonight….there is a LOT at stake. Let me set the stage.

REELGUY, while being carried by his partners, has somehow managed to take the mid-season lead…However, we are fishing Lake Onalaska tonight, and RG seems to struggle on the lake…

Guest and frequent fishing partner of mine MOSSBOSS will be joining me tonight….Can our two names of slop and Moss provide to be the winning factor tonight, as we target monster Largies in the slop??

Or will Wingdam’s Guest of CHAMPMAN take time off from winning everything else and humble our Jerkin’Lips club w/a few 4lb’ers?

Or will BC and Stinger said the stage for another 5-6lb bag…?? THey have averaged over 5lb’s each time they fish!!

Should be interesting!!! We’ll find out in 7hrs. 26 minutes.

REELGUY, for once you are completely right ….I couldn’t contain myself last night, and won’t be able to most of the day, cause i’m still pumped!!

If there was ever a showdown in our club, last night was it. The battle for supremecy has been going on all year, trash talking, ego busting , a straight crusade to be number one! Reel guy leading season 3, Slop a few lb’s right behind him, only a few weeks to go, CHAMPMAN making a guest appearance to show us all up??? Or did the Slop/MossBoss combo have what it take to win it all? Here we go….!!

Here it is baby!!! the WINNING COMBO, TWO WEEKS in a row!! w/nearly 7lb’s of fish….SLOP AND MOSSBOSS!!! We were on steady bite from about 6:30 on…Fish were breaking non-stop for nearly 2 hrs….We caught these on Chug-bugs and Pop-R’s…..

I won big fish w/this 18.5″ 3.9lb’er, and have a nice bruise on my hand from Moss’s fish…..We didn’t have the net out, and we knew he had a good fish on, so i just reached down and scooped/threw the fish into the boat….In doing so, one of the trebles buried into the base of my thumb, but when i threw the fish in the boat, ripped out and was bleeding nicely….and i have a nice bruise there today….Great time!!!
