Ace Wednesday Tourney… 2nd Place????

Well I can’t believe it a couple of schools were really where I thought they would be. I have been over on Petenwell and taking some very badly needed days off. I decided to fish the Ace tourney tonight and caught up with two schools. One appeared to be all keepers and the other was from 6 inches to 16 inches. Both schools were LM a 13 incher and a 14 1/2 incher still full of eggs??? Anyway I was awarded 2nd place for a 3.2# LM, but actually it was the third biggest fish weighed. One boat had two bookend 3.6ers and tied for first. It looks like my usual July spots are starting to be populated more heavily as the water receeds. I sure hope Nancy and I can get back on some of these fish Sunday.

Almost all the fish were caught on clatter shads or finesse worms. In three feet of water give or take on weed and bullrush edges.. in backs of bays and dead ends of cut/creeks
