I finally got out on pool 7 today and fished the Lake. Had a really good day caught lots of largemouth the biggest being 3.5#. That brings me to my question. This fish had the typical bloody looking sore on it’s tail, typical of a fish that had been fanning a bed. Anybody give me any insight on this. I assumed they would be done spawning. Anybody else seen anything like this.

last year i was catching bass off of beds in early june and i herd my freinds site fished one on the river in late june it was sitting and fanning a bed

with that being said a few years ago there was an article dont ask me wich magizine but ti stated during high muddy water conditions bass will get bloody tails and even have the ghost white charecteristics of a bass coming out of deep water

this is caused by the water being high and muddy and a bass will go as shallow as he can to find food and cleaner water

    hope this helps
