With the controversy regarding the handling of the bfl fish at Clinton I was wondering what the proper release method should be. It’s more than obvious that hundreds of fish were taken from one somewhat isolated location. Should the fish go back there or will they safely find their way to some other comfortable location?
well pool 14 isnt considderd one of the better bass fisheries on the river but there are a ton of bass dumped back into it every year sure its getting better but not nearly as good as pool 13
the reason being i believe they swim back threw the locks or the rollers and go where they want to go because if they didnt pool 14 would have alot more bass to catch i believe its johnson island thats right below the dam theres generally bass there i believe there waiting to swim up river
i also rember an article where in browns lake they shut the aerator off the fish swam 5 miles down river when they turned the aerator back on the fish were back in browns in 3 days now that tells me these fish can tell alot from a long ways away
btw my second fish sunday had a call ball hole in its lower jaw so id venture to say some get released right back where there caught
