I am begging for some general info on how to find fish in these high water conditions. Also what type of presentations would you recommend? I am going to do some pre-fishing for Sat early this week, but am lost on where and how to begin. I will be fishing Pool 8 and possibly 7, if I get desperate. Thanks in advance for any assisstance you can offer .

    My 2 cents:

Rising water… Tight to cover, shallower…

Falling water… First breakline, current breaks you cannot see (tougher fishing)…

Fish the buck brush on hard banks with black and blue jigs,be sure to use rattles.

Find some places that has no direct current. Places that the water backs up into, they tend to be cleaner and the bass will be there to escape the current.

SpinnerDave (et al.)… this is *more* true for Largies than Smallies… right?

Yep I think that would be true. I guess down here you cant count on smallies very much for tourny fishing. We have an occasional catch but you cant put togather a tournament winning pattern solely on smallies yet. They are coming back though.

This is mostly speaking of largies, but they move up and down with the water. I don’t think they adjust to the rising water as fast as they do with falling water, so they might be a day or so behind. But, get to the back (meaning bank) if you can, they will be there eventually. Hope this helps.
