Is anybody thinking of doing BWSTA (Bass World Sports)? I’d be willing to partner up for La Crosse Division 15 if anyone is interested…PM me if you want to discuss the idea.

Slopmeister-You find a partner yet? I am ready and willing to get in this trail as well . Talk to you later.
May 21, 2004 at 4:40 pm #305642Damn! I may just ask to fish with you two ’cause of the fun we’d have in the boat !
Many Garcias (<—my dad’s Spanglish for muchas gracias) ,
May 21, 2004 at 8:09 pm #305672The first tourney is June 5, I beleive. Let’s get a roll call of who is or would like to fish this trail. Also, who needs to partner up. I will start by saying I want to fish it and need a partner.

Slop, if you pay my fees, I’ll supply the boat and some fish.
May 24, 2004 at 3:33 pm #305878Let me know if they draw more then 40 boats. Then we might be interested. Mo money more talent and more competition. Thats what makes me tic.
jcMay 24, 2004 at 3:45 pm #305880JC, if those Smallies move back into that bay and get fatter, we may have to take a shot at the title. We’ll just need a narrower boat this time.

They are all on Pool 8..just an FYI
They are not exclusive to pool 8. They weren’t last year anyway.
If they are exclusive to pool 8, then that is their loss…..
May 24, 2004 at 4:13 pm #305887You are correct blue…The flyer lists pool 8, but deep into the tiny writing it says you can lock.
May 25, 2004 at 1:16 am #305983I am still looking for a partner . I do have a boat, not the fastest on the water, but it will do the trick. If you do not have a boat, but still want to tourney fish, please let me know soon.
May 29, 2004 at 1:43 pm #306642Just a few more days until the first one starts. Anyone fishing this?
June 1, 2004 at 3:13 pm #306918Pool 8 has a no wake zone when the river exceeds 10ft. The river is forecast to hit almost 11ft. What are the chances of this tourney happening. If I recall correctly, the no wake zone will run from the lock & dam to just south of Brownsville. That’s a lot of idling.

I sent them an e-mail asking that same question. Still waiting for a reply. I’ll post it when I get it. I’ve already sent in the fees so if I is on I’ll be there.June 2, 2004 at 1:59 am #307027I hope to hear their response to you . I plan on entering that morning. I also noticed they do not give refunds if cancelled.
June 2, 2004 at 5:15 pm #307118Got a reply and as of right now they are still planning to have the tourney. They told me they will let me know by Friday if it is called off. I’ll keep everyonr informed what I hear.
June 2, 2004 at 5:20 pm #307120I hope you guys are able to fish. It’ll probably take another nice bag to win. I’m gonna guess 15.07. Somebody’s gotta have some piggies tucked away.
Although this high water may deter some people from fishing. It’ll be interesting to see how many boats are in it.
June 2, 2004 at 5:26 pm #307121I’m in.
We’ll be signing up the morning of though, just in case they do cancel…There is no refund, i think it just goes to the next tourney on the circuit.
Did you and JC decide if you were fishing it?
June 3, 2004 at 2:11 am #307198We are also going to sign that morning. I do have a question; Are they going to check in at the launch or over at Bob’s. I asked that question at Bob’s and he said he didn’t know for sure as they have not said much to them about it. So, at 5 a.m., we have to try and find where to sign. I would sure like to get on some fish soon though .
June 3, 2004 at 12:12 pm #307241Last year the sing up at the landing. I would guess it would be the same this year.
June 3, 2004 at 5:19 pm #307307I just got this in:
We will be moving La Crosse Division 15 on 6-05-04 due to high water and a no wake zone in effect, to Lansing Village Boat Ramp Pool 9, on 6-05-04 check in is 5:00 am. Please tell anyone you know who may be signing up late. If you have any questions please call me.
Thanks for joining BWSTA and fishing our tournaments. For more information about Bass World Sports Tournament Association, results, points, schedule and entry forms go to our web page at http://www.bassworldsports.com.

I think this move could really hurt their standing as a circuit.
Why?
June 3, 2004 at 8:02 pm #3073311. Because they already have a Lansing division
2. They guys who fish for points are out of luck.
3. Hard feelings if they do not refund money for people who do not want to fish pool 9.
4. The guys who have booked hotels have an hour drive each way.
5. Lodging in Lansing is limited and getting a room on short order is difficult.
6. Guys that wanted to fish pool 7 will most likily not fish the circuit only sporadic tourneys.
Ant the biggest reason this will hurt BWS is because Blue said so.
