Pool 7 Bass

Fished Pool 7 tonight…. channel bite was okay with rocks and wood being about the same. Smallmouth and largemouth both biting, but definitely finicky. Didn’t find any lure better than another. I guess that with pool 7 being so small the fish are pressured a lot more, because they sure bite and spit a lot more than I see on 8 and 9. I also noticed that even on the trolling motor the fish seemed to take a while to become active and I had a lot better luck anchored.

Hey Lawrence, is pool 7 as dirty as 9 and 10 ?

Last night at least the bottom half of the pool was actually a little too clear for my liking. Fish were feeding on minnows and unlike when the water is a little more stained,(dirty), it took “a lot” more coaxing to get them to bite in the clean half of the pool. From the Tremp dam about three miles down was quite dirty though. Hard to tell whether it was dirty water coming through the dam or just the way it is. Literally tons of garbage fish rutting around on the north end, too… so that doesn’t help. If I notice a change today I will post it.
