Well the females and larger males are together now. Guide customers came for walleye, but with Catfish and Sheephead move in full bloom we only managed 4 walleye/sauger that were keepers. Bass more than made up with it with both members of the party catching their personal best Smallmouth. The May 15th spawn run appears to be a week early. In 4 or 5 different locations between us and others I saw easily 15 3# plus caught in 3 hours of Bass fishing. Again today with a little increase in water level from rain the fish were back on rocks that were out of the water two days ago. Some bass everywhere we tried and we left a couple of places out of boredom of constant hookups and moved on to others. Still out best 6 in 3 1/2 hours were only about 16.5#s. One party appeared to have over a three# average or over 18#s for six. Those fish came from an area that has been almost biteless till today. Almost all female Smallies. Lots more fish today in the just barely 14 range. Tubes were king again today, but locations changed around.

Lynxville must have had the gates high today, and I notice the gates weren’t sending out much flow to day, because we lost almost all the water we gained by 5:PM, so I would only be guessing if the fish will have move by tommorrow.
