Spent Tuesday on pool 10. We picked a great day to be on the water. Very little wind, and gradually increasing temperatures. Early to mid-morning fishing was soft. Stopped at two smally spots with a fish per spot. Both nice around 2-1/2 to 3 lbs. The next few hours were pretty slow with water temperatures almost everywhere around 53-55 degrees. Around noon when the sun had warmed the back waters to around 58-60 degrees we found fish in slow moving or dead water. The average fish was around 2 lbs with the largest being 3 lbs. WOOD, WOOD, and more WOOD is where we found them and they wanted something with a large profile. Smaller spinner baits did not work as well as larger ones. Just a run down of the day.

Thanks for the report. Definitely right on on the larger profile, but I will have to give the spinner baits a work out, because they didn’t leave my tackle bag very much lately. I did threw some microspins yesterday, but like you said our bigger fish came on heavier head and 6″ plus twister tail. I might spend some time on pool 10-12 in the next couple of days so if you get out I look forward to your next report. I’m not hard to recognise. 2003 Crestliner 16 Angler and Evinrude pulled by silver AstroVan. Maybe I’ll se you guys down that way.

The Iowa State tournament is May 1st & 2nd out of Prairie Du Chien so Pool 10 will be pretty crowded this next weekend if your headed that way. FYI.
