First I was looking for any advice on the Alma area of pool 4. I’m heading down there for the first time and was wondering what I should look for and what to look out for. I’m not tournament fishing or anything, just looking to wrestle with some quality smallies. Also is the water very treacherous to run and should I plan on doing a lot of idleing around?
Part 2…Riverfan mentioned that the Red Wing area is getting better for bass. I was just wondering some of the places you look for around Red Wing. I’ve been out twice, but I haven’t done much exploring in the backwaters or gone through the town, I’ve only been out breaking in the boat below the dam and fishing the rip-rap, but that was a few weeks ago and the water was below 50. We got a few white bass and 7 pounds of something called a walleye 
I’d like to get into some real fish if you know what I mean
