you guys need to play nice.
I am the only one around here that can get grumpy.

Did I ever mention that I hate that whole concept.
Fish a jig like a jig and be done. Do your own thing and there is no magic presentation that will turn you into monzy. Ya think all the years he spent fishing has anything to do with it?

JC —You’re 100% correct….People w/that type of experience could probably catch a fish by throwing a hook on a piece of tin foil.

You’re mistaken however on being grumpy (sorry)…Playing nice is good to a point, but the “O’Doyle’s” of the world need a good reality check once in a while!!

I think it is over-rated to be honest with you all. TM just has such confidence in the bait, and knows how to use it in so many different situations. In my opinion its no different than Vandam with his spinnerbait. Even if they maket the “monzy jig” its not going to revolutionize bass fishing any more than the banjo minnow, flying lure or…..whats that jig that champman uses….nevermind. Its a great tool but comon guys, were talking about bass, a living thing that lives its whole life on instinct and reaction, its not like we are dealing with women here!

A: Lethal Weapon Jig by Custom Lures

Good Points Hall. I think that swimming jigs are becoming more popular though b/c of the success’s that people are having w/them, but you’re right, it isn’t something that hasn’t been around or is going to “Revolutionize” Fishing.

Anyone remember the “Tube” introduction? Took almost 10 years for it to be “accepted” and look today in the bottom of any serious bass angler’s rig and you will find used tubes laying on the floor… its a staple. Articles are *still* being written and published today “introducing” the tube… How is it new? New to who? Or, perhaps, BassMaster Magazine has begun recycling the articles…

So, the question becomes: With all the press and discussion, will “Swimming a Jig” become a staple in the aresonal of every bass angler?

I’m headed out fishing tonight… think I’ll “Swim a tube.”

It’s just like anything else. Once everyone starts throwing one, watch the fish turn off on it, and wait for the next “new thing”. It is still relatively new to most anglers, and gives the fish a different, more subtle, more natural look. I’m sure the good fishermen who excel with it, like Monsoor and Champman, will still excel with it, and the guys that can’t find fish still won’t. Wonder what the next big thing will be?

MOSSBOSS hit the nail on the head. You have to find the fish to present the swimming jig. Whatever lure your fishing has to be thrown to fish. Location, location, location. It all starts with location. If the fish aren’t there, it won’t matter what lure your throwing.

Tubes are for Nancys. The bottom of my boat is littered with Beetle Spins and empty cans of WD40. It’s ALL about the flash and scent!!!

Hmmm… so, “scent” is the answer, eh? No wonder Slop Bass catches so many fish… every been in a ice-shanty with him?

Oh, and Blue, I looked at the fine print, it says tubes are for the prevention of sexually tarnsmitted diseases and preg-NANCY…

What kind of tubes are you fishing with.

Next you’re going to tell me you put smelly jelly on your tubes. That is WAY too much info.

Reel Guy, so you at least use Flipping Tubes? They are still pretty small, but if you can use regular tubes………..

I would try the Muskie Tubes, but still WAY too small for me……..

Reel guy is right,if it wasn t for pros like Tom and Randy we all would all be fishing out of row boats and using live bait. This is the same type of reaction I bet that the creme worm had when it came out in 1954.Open your minds and master the tools that are handed to us by the pros. http://www.teamsupremetackle.com
