This was a discussion I had w/ Jeremy last Saturday.

My biggest gripe w/ Rat-L-Traps is how the chrome baits lost their chrome so fast. I know I have close to a dozen that have almost no chrome left.

Has anyone figured out a way to stop this? Is there a way to put new chrome on the baits?

I’m half tempted to buy an airbrush and paint some custom baits.

    Purple’s a good color.

Also, when ya buy’em, spray lacquer on’em before you use’em .

    Thanks,

Blue Fleck, I had the same problem with the Rat-L-Trap brand! So I went out and got all other brands of Ratltraps and found that the Yo-Zuri brand was the best!! I have caught over 100 fish with one single bait! And have ran the bait over rocks, guess what? The chrome is still on there!! About painting the lures, lol

I second the Yo-Zuri vote. Great hooks also.

i catch alot more fish on a beat up rattle trap then a fresh shinny one any way

also another thing i read where tooth paste will cleam them p and put a shine on them when they get all dingy looking this also works on spinner baits
