Bass spawn Ontario canada

I’m really getting into fishing for smallmouth bass fishing an I used to take a yearly trip to Sioux lookout an fish lac seul and minnitaki Iv never targeted them there an wondering when would be the best time of the year to target them I was thinking of when they spawn but I’m still new to this so any suggestions would be helpful I plan to go early June 2025

I think early June might be a bit early for that far north. Of course it all depends on the spring of that year. With all my trips to the Boundary Waters and Quetico we have had our best smallmouth fishing around the 2nd week of June so if you are further north I think a bit later in June would be best. It will depend on the lakes you are fishing as those big lakes up there take much longer to warm up than the smaller ones.
