Looking for opinions/reviews on this battery charger. There are none on the website. Preferably from those who own/have used it.

BPS seems to only want to sell what they can discount. Their electric boat winch is mfg’d by TRAC which has gotten horrible reviews. But they can discount it. Find out who makes this charger and check the reviews.

As the years go by, I find that I am much less attracted to the lower price of branded products for big companies. Most – not all – are engineered to a specific price point which usually is a reduction in quality.

At 4 amps per bank, it’s bare bones. Get a MinnKota or Dual Pro if you want quality.

Zoom in on the picture and it says “Engineered by ProMariner” at the bottom right of the picture. You could look at reviews of ProMariner chargers.

Be very careful with that mindset. The best companies make cheap crap for being branded by big box store.

As an example, at one time (maybe again???) interstate made batteries for Walmart. Put the Walmart battery on a scale and weigh it. Then do the “equivalent” Interstate. Then ask yourself why the Walmart battery weighs many pounds less???? Engineers to a specific price point

    Yep, 100% agreed!

I remember when Cabelas did this a long time ago with ice flashers. I believe they were made by Marcum. But yeah, they chinsed out on parts so they could make it more affordable. Buddies only lasted a few years before it started on fire.
