Bass Pro/Cabelas Rant

I ordered 5 items online this Thursday. I ordered 2 spools of Suffix 832, 2 rod holders and an inflatable life jacket.

I received all 5 items today in 5 different packages all shipped from the same warehouse!!

All the boxes (except the life jacket) were in a box 10 times the size of the item.

I had a gift card ($100) that was going to expire at the end of the month. I don’t know what the cost of shipping $100 worth of items is but I don’t think Bass Pro made any profit on my order.

Not sure of the reason for a “rant”. They honored your gift card, you got what you wanted in only 3 days, all would seem good in my opinion.

I don’t buy online so I can’t relate to your complaints. But from what I read you should be happy they A) had what you wanted and B) you received it. I think many in this low expectation world would consider that a win win.

C. They may be saving you some money. Assuming you live in Minnesota (Land of 10,000 taxes) if they split the order to keep it under $100, you avoid a .50 cent tax on the shipping.

Scheels did the same thing with my order a couple weeks ago. it all came in different packages but just glad i got it all

I can think of a million things to complain about and getting multiple boxes isn’t one of them. Now, don’t get me started how Sam’s club can’t seem how to find my house for delivery orders and end up at the apartments next door when there is a big blue sign with our house number at the end of my driveway. We have ordered from them 3 times and twice they couldn’t find our house.

The dems want a green world and our leaders create laws/regulations to tax the crap out of everything so we find ways to get around it like shipping in multiple packages to avoid the charges and be even LESS GREEN in the process. Political response? Yep, let the “blame” fall where it belongs.

I like small boxes. Good thing to put the fish guts in before it get to the garbage can.

You placed an order. You received your order. That is what everyone hopes for.

Geez.. guy tries to save the forests and earth and he gets lit up… seems the Green Deal dried up now and is not a thing anymore ?

Ill give you a rant with some teeth. Their lights are too low in the Woodbury store. I go there so infrequently that I forget and cannot read any product info because I dont take readers. This is the only store that I have this problem with. Other than most menus…..

Maybe the word to use is “rave” not “rant”.

I’m a little jealous. Went into the Bristol TN Bass Pro with 6 things I wanted, All basic – snaps, few rip n raps, and 2x trebs, I got 0 for 6. I think Walmart has a better selection
