Bajio Sunglasses?

I had a pair of Costas that the lens broke on and Costa wanted $80.00 to service them, which I still may, however, I stumbled across a deal on Bajio Nato sunglasses and bought a pair. Seems that the company was founded by the crew that created Costa and I was wondering if anyone had a pair and how they stacked up to Costa? Let me know if anyone here has had some time with them and what I should expect. Thanks!

I have a pair of bajio bales beach with glass lenses. I really like them so far. I have worn them daily since September. I’d say the clarity is on par with costa 580g.

I’ve been really interested in Bajillos, I think they are almost entirely recycled materials for the frames also. I just want to get a pair in hand before I take the leap. I have had 2 pairs of Costas, and after wearing a pair of Maui Jim’s for the past two years… they are the benchmark for me. But I want to like the Bajillos so report back!

Great shades and great customer service.

I picked up a pair after costa was bought and I had a poor customer service experience with the new parent company. I was a costa fanboy for life up until that point. I told them I’m done after that experience and it seemed as though they could not care less that they lost a long time loyal customer.

I broke a frame on a pair of Bahia last summer. I emailed them and told them it was my fault from being careless and wanted to know if they would sell me the frames for a discounted price because my lenses were fine. They told me that model was discontinued and sent me coupon code to order any glasses on their website and it covered 100% of cost. Reminded me of how costa used to be.

The only complaint I have is it seems like they are tougher to clean lenses than costas. That certainly wouldn’t make me shy away from buying another pair.

Thanks for the replies! My pair is coming in the mail and should arrive January 2nd. I will post a review if I have the time. Reason I went with them is the warranty, as it’s lifetime vs two years with Costas. Also, they’re made in the USA, and I think Costas are now made in Italy.

Those bales beach shades look interesting. May have to try them on if I can find a pair.
