Baitwell insert for WX1900

I find it annoying having to catch the minnows in my bait well after a day of fishing. Has anyone found any kind of mesh insert that would work in the WX1900? I would prefer something I could lift in and out for access to the bait and still mesh so the water circulates throughout. Any other suggestions that I haven’t considered as well.

    Thanks,

Lindy makes a 1 gal size minnow tamer bag.

Minnow tamer, just like a leech tamer but bigger. Works pretty slick.

X2! Just have a bait container with fresh water in the truck. Pull the bag from the bait well, pull the plug, put the minnow tamer in your bait container. Nice and clean.

I use to spend way too much time trying to catch the minnows out of my live well, in the dark, while the mosquitoes tried to carry me away.

I always thought “baitwell” was another word for trash can. Never used one for bait in any boat I’ve ever owned. ….Isn’t that what a “minnow bucket” is for?

The 1 gallon Lindy one actually fits just right in the front baitwell. It kind of wedges into the opening but the bottom half still sits in the water, you don’t have to reach in very far that way.

I just ripped the livewell out of my boat this weekend. Bait goes in a cooler with a minnow scoup. With AIS laws, livewell/baitwells are obsolete IMO.

If you buy this one. Take the insert out and it should fit right in the molded spot in your bait-well. Added bonus doesn’t get all moldy and mildew like the bait tamer.

This one fits perfect but unless they changed it you need to drill some holes in the bottom to get all the water to drain out. AIS you know.

I purchased the Lindy bait tamer, works like a charm. Thanks to all who suggested the fix.
