I’m pretty sure this topic has been discussed in the past but I didn’t find it as I scrolled back a couple of pages. I’m headed to North Dakota next week to fish the sloughs and targeting perch. I’ve never been there. I will be taking my TUCR noodle, bullwhip, and precision. Any help on bait sizes and bait types would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

try 1/16oz buckshot or 1/8oz Slender Spoon on the Precision, the smaller version of the Lindy Perch Talker on the Bullwhip and a tungsten jig w/ plastic & spikes on the Noodle

Rippin raps size 4 and 5. Buckshot rattle spoons 1/8 oz. Shucks style lures with the dropper chains. Slender spoons all with minnow heads or waxies/spikes. Tungsten with plastic. It’s more important to find the fish and be on them than to worry about what bait your using. Once your on them just use whatever gets back down fast and it’s best to get your buddies over to fish right by you too keep them interested. If you don’t get back down to them in time they move on then your drilling more holes to get back on them. Hope this helps and good luck.

I always have pretty good luck on the smallest sized clam blade spoons, with and without the rattle. Then I just tip it with 2 or 3 waxxies.

After the first keeper perch the eyes are pretty good bait. They stay on the hook so you don’t have to mess with rebaiting while the school is below you. Small jigs vmc tingler spoons, everything else mentioned. Sometimes ripping a tingler spoon up and letting it sink down to the bottom a few times brings the school back if they move on
