So a couple weeks ago some jackwagon decided he needed my wheel house more than me. It was at the cabin, down, lock on tongue and doors locked. Reported it stolen and get a call a few days later from a game warden. “ hey we found your house…….but they must have got scared and tried to burn it”. SOB’s. So long story short insurance covered it, trying to purchase a new one to go right after Christmas and wouldn’t you know the finance company is all set to go, except waiting for check from insurance to pay off old one, that they mailed and will take 7- 10 days to process. Got a letter from insurance that says yep we mailed you a check… not good enough. Time to get a new bank I’m thinking. Rant over!

I manage a credit union. Yes insurance checks do take that long to process. Mainly because they are the #1 most fraudulent check out there. So all banks and credit unions do that to play it safe. Not your banks fault.

and yet you can process our checks in seconds. It’s no wonder people hate banks the way they treat their customers.

wow. I can see that on small checks. But everything I see in the construction world is a direct transfer/deposit. Faster than over night
