I’d like to buy a pair but not sure which model or size.

Does anybody know of a retailer in SE MN that carries them so I can try a couple on before buying them?

I don’t know how many models they have, but REI should have more than say a GM or cabelas.

Your best bet might be to try on one model at the store to find your size and by the model you want online.

I bought mine at GM back when they were in Fridley. Long tone ago.

If you can find the Apex model I’d say go with it. I love mine. They are discontinuing this model, and there have been some great online deals on them. I’d say buy a 1/2 size larger than you normally wear. The run a tad small.

X2. I bought a set of these last year and they are really nice. They do run small though. First time in my life I had to buy a size 14. The gal at the checkout line looked at me like I was a freakin’ hobbit……..

I got 2 pair of these this year and have nothing but good things to say.

Google them and add in the keywords “Ice Fishing” and watch for the rave reviews. Completely waterproof, completely warm, completely comfortable and a good price to “boot”.

They do run small and are hard to drive in. But I wear lighter boots getting to the lake access until I’m ready to head out. Then I put them on. No laces so slipping them on and off is a cinch. I also have my Yaks strapped on so I never slip on the ice.

If you are hiking out on the ice with any distance, your feet will roast! I wear poly undersocks and when real cold, put wool socks over that. Never an issue with cold feet. Got mine at Amazon. They do run small. I have size 12 in a tennis shoe but needed a 14 in these boots. That gives me just enough space in the toe to trap warm air without getting too sloppy.

Buy a pair today and thank me tomorrow. I researched for DAYS on the topic and these little gems kept coming to the top. Made in Canada too so you can give the Chinese crap manufacturers the finger every time you wear em and keep a neighbor Kanuck in maple syrup for another long winter. lol!

Looks like I buy a pair On-line and take my chances.
    The local Gander doesn’t have squat…surprise, surprise…
And REI doesn’t have any of the models mentioned above.

I can’t believe there aren’t some local retailers that carry this brand if they’re so dang good!
Hmmm, maybe an untapped market to invest in??!!

Thanks for all the replies guys!

My brother has a different pair of Baffin boots that swears by. Speaking of hobbit, I wear a size 14 tennis shoe. Looking at JD’s link, no ordering a size bigger. 14 is the max. Welcome to my world. Buying footwear is a PITA!!!
