Backward Compatibility Gen 1 I-Pilot to Gen 2 I-Pilot

    Anyone know if you could swap out the I-Pilot from a Gen 1 36v 101 to a Gen 2 24V 80? May sell my boat with the 101 and buy my friends with the 80. My Gen 1 works better than his Gen 2 which seems to be common. No room for third battery in his boat so complete unit swap not an option.

    As far as I know they will work together without any issues. I am assuming when you say Gen 2 that you are not referring to the new 2017+ bluetooth models.
