I want to add a ground bus bar in the back between the bottom and top of the battery compartment. Anybody know whats behind the back wall? I need to screw into it but can’t see whats back there.

Also, has anyone removed the wall underneathe the driver console? I want to add a fuse panel to that wall but worried I might screw into the front livewell hose and wiring.

It would probably help if you provided the year and model of the hull you have,,,

    I have a 2019 Impact 1775
If I understand your picture correctly there are wires that goes behind there from my engine and from my transducers but you should be able to see them. I took my phone and put it on video and shone a flashlight under the ladder ( which is behind and above the jump seat) and looked in the cavity under there. The water that might come in from backtrolling drains through holes in the transom on either side and on MY MODEL at least it looks like you can see those and be able to avoid them. I have had the starboard side storage cover and panels off and the wires from the transducer and the motor run through there so you can see their “path” that way too. I also took video of underneath ( take one of those circular covers off ) and looked in there.
I am no boat expert however.

Yes you are correct. Seems like if I aim high I will end up in the backsplash drain area. I took a picture from the inside. Looks like I should be ok if Im near the middle. My power cables are secured by fir tree restraints near the bottom on the back.

Yeah, it seemed Like there would be room. I would hate to say “yes” w 100% certainty as it’s not my boat but I believe you can pinpoint those wires for the transducers and ignition etc from the engine and should be able to navigate around them. I don’t believe “wall” you would be screwing into is a watertight or transom issue so……
Just a classic case of measure “thrice” and drill once hah

(plus your not gonna be runnin 3″ screws into it anyway – 1/4″ or so I would imagine – on my work I have done around the throttle control, side storage and front storage I have put the little “baby” wire nuts on the thread ends that stick through anywhere just so I don’t have any sharp edges.

Thanks for the feedback. I think I will be fine. Good point on adding something to the screws n will consider it in the future. I guess worst case or safest bet I can just glue a HDPE or marine wood to the wall then screw into it

Just wanted to add an update. Was able to add grounding bar without issues. Hard to see it in the picture. Might move it one day so that its easier to verify if grounds are loose.
