I’m surprised he’s not trying to sell his fishing spots that he always stole from someone else!

B-man, you should put those bait tanks/sink next to your new man kitchen.

Would have been nice to have all those tackle boxes opened up so a person could see what was inside them instead of just “assorted fishing…..”

Rick, click on the link, then the pic, and the right and left arrow to see all the pics of the item.

    Definitely.

Already filed for bankruptcy in 2020 with substantial debt on multiple properties and against the business.

A dedicated bait tank is something that I definitely want in the future!

Right now I use a 25 gallon laundry tub and change the water out once a week, it would be sweet to have multiple tanks rigged up with bucket filters though waytogo

I know people have their complaints about him, but I used to really like his show. I liked how he took his family on trips with him and it was all about the excitement of fishing. Less about technique like other shows. It captured the spirit of what fishing is for me, so I was into it.

He shares the face of early MN fishing with the Linders, Ron Schara. Faces that have always been there.

Agreed, always liked his show, especially for including the cooking segments. Hope he can get his stuff in order and restart his career or at least retire in peace.

I ran into Babe a few times in my town when he was doing shows nearby, he always had his whole family with him. I asked his wife for an autograph right in front of him because of an excellent fish taco recipe she did on a segment. Good people that were happy to joke around with a local.

    Why is he bankrupt?

Seems a little odd for someone with an outdoor show and sponsors.

From what I heard, the same way NFL Multi-Millionaires end up broke… taxes and over spending. I see the vintage box fans didn’t sell… crazy

Plenty of businesses that go bankrupt look like they’re doing fine, until they don’t.

Owning multiple properties and their corresponding tax bills can add up. Once people get behind on those things it snowballs. I think I read somewhere that this was a factor too.

I can’t pretend to know his specifics beyond some old articles, but it does bring to light a huge problem in this country (complete tangent) with people not fully funding their retirement in diverse ways. Relying on one union pension, 401k, Roth, or SS to always be there is risky. Entrepreneurs have it twice as difficult as they have to have discipline to fully self fund things and not fall victim to living solely in the now.

We have a huge bubble of people who are either retiring or will be, and many don’t have the funds to live how they do now moving forward. It’s hard to predict what things will cost down the road, health issues, or what your children could cost as you near retirement.

This…. I have always said and will for years that SS is the absolute worst program in history. You will never get back what you pay in, let me handle my own money and invest it how I want. The day they quit SS will be a blessing
