Anyone have any experience with the Axil XCOR electronic ear buds? Will be use mostly for duck hunting. After getting my bell rung a couple more times this last weekend in North Dakota I decided to spend some cabelas point money. They have them $100 off right now.

I bought a pair of the axil gs extremes 2.0 this summer and have been happy with them.

Bought the xcor pros a few weeks ago.Hearing protection is great, the amplification is ok and blue tooth conectivity is Great.
I bought them for the rifle range and to use at work(construction),where my regular hearing aids dont offer the noise protection. They look a little bulky but are actually quite comfortable,I typically have my hearing aids in all day long.
Overall very happy with my purchase, was debating between axil and walkers bt 2.0,axil’s reviews just seemed alot better.

Ya the more I looked at different vendors they were not on sale. The original thing I seen on cabelas site had them marked down from $300 to $200. But it looks like they are $200 everywhere.

I’m also interested in getting some sort of sound protection plugs. For the kid and I. My hearing is bad and I don’t want him to go the same way as me.
We use walkers electric muffs right now but plugs would be great for duck hunting

I have tried wearing regular ear plugs but you can’t hear yourself when you’re calling at ducks so kind of a deal breaker for me. The calling is to muffled and you can’t tell how load you are.

If you are not in a hurry they have them on sale frequently on axil website. I went with the corded ones with the hopes if they fall out while in the water I won’t lose them.

I’m very confused how this company operates. They mark there products up 100 bucks and then say it’s a 100 dollar off sale which then price matches everywhere who sells them ? I cant stand places like that. The gs 2.0 are normally 129. Axil has them up to 229 and says right now 100 dollars off for 129 but cabelas always sells them for 129

I have no experience with ear buds but it sounds like you need some new hunting buddies if you’re getting your bell rang every weekend. That’s unacceptable. He/ she/ they are permanently damaging your hearing.

Its not all completely their fault. It’s always worse in close quarter situations. We hunt out of A frame blinds so room is tight. But there are definitely times when guys are taking shots they probably shouldn’t be. Sometimes it’s even the strait overhead shots that hurt. I actually have documented hearing loss but it also seems like i have very sensitive hearing to load noise.
