Awesome underwater footage of catching a bass on a jig

    I went out the other day and got some awesome underwater footage of catching a bass on a jig so I thought I’d share.

    Did you rig a second Gopro to that marker bouy? That’s pretty cool.

    2 things:

    1) How many times do you flip into an area once or twice, not catch anything and decide there’s no fish there and move on? I think he flipped over a half dozen times before the bass bit..

    2) How many times does a bass fall for a lure and get caught in its lifetime? You’d think after once or twice they would get conditioned and be sure not to get caught again. By the looks of the lips on that bass, I think he’s been caught a few times before.

    I think you can learn a lot from underwater cameras. One of the reasons I like to watch “Hook & Look.”

    The OP can correct me if I am wrong, but I would assume that fish was on a bed and he was sight fishing it. Which is how he knew to set his camera up there, and why he made so many pitches to it.

    I def was sight fishing. I dont believe the bass was on a bed but maybe was in the making. I saw the bass, dropped the camera, left and came back about 10 minutes later and it came back.

    It is just a little lake and I don’t believe it was caught a few times before. There isn’t that maybe people around that lake that fish for bass. The lips weren’t that messed up.

    If not bedding, I’d guess likely making one. The fish seemed defensive rather than offensive. Awesome video, even if I’m not a fan of largemouth D
