The wire (and tether) less kill switch has become a regular tool with the MN DNR.

That’s cool, thanks for sharing. Wonder where a fella buys an Ercury and how the compare to a Mercury. jester

Mercury is actually a knock off of Ercury.

I need to get one of these for my kicker motor.

LOL! The video pretty much explained it.

A couple years ago I noticed my guide boat insurance stated that I must be wearing the kill tether while moving to be covered.

I’m not exactly 100% on wearing one so I looked around to see what was out there. Checked into Autotether and after using them, have been sold on them.

The only problem I’ve had is forgetting the fw has one on and when she walks away from the boat. Her’s doesn’t kill the engine but it makes a lot of noise once 150ish feet away from the boat. LOL!

I don’t know of anyone that stocks them around here.

I really do think they should be a standard item on all new boats.
Which is a little funny. I’ll take the time to turn on an autotether but forget to take the time to hook up a kill tether. (‘course with the autotether, I only need to do it once per trip)
