Auger size for mega live

    What’s the best auger hole size for using the mega live transducer? A 6 and 7 inch appear to be too small.

    I use an 8, however you need 10 if you want to put it into landscape mode.

    That would be a deal breaker for me if it was 10.

    I would think 8 would be just fine as I am pretty sure the IDO crew use mostly 8 inch bits for the most part.

    Yep, 8″ auger for all modes. No issues.

    I think the concern is fitting the transducer thru the hole but could be wrong.

    He’s asking about the bird product not Garmin.

    I’m asking about the Humminbird Mega Live transducer fitting into an ice fishing hole. I know for a fact it won’t fit into a 6″ hole when it’s on a pole.

    LiveScope fits in a 6″ hole.
