Mine is getting a little rusty inside and I had an intermittent connection a few times last year.

Time to replace or should I try to clean the rust out?

Has anyone set theirs up to have constant power and how tough is it to convert.

    Thanks!

I wired a cheap “weather proof” one on my wheeler, fused and tied directly to the battery… Mine didn’t come with any fancy options lol

Either way, myself I’d clean it up and plan on replacing it in the future.

If you have electric start with fuel injection, I wouldn’t personally wire it hot all the time, seems to me with FI, you sometimes need more than a bump or pull start, you need some juice in the battery, from my experince, can’t say anything Polaris wise… I’ve been know to leave the lights on and walk away, too used to my suv/truck turning off automatically

I’d try some emery cloth then rub some dyelectric grease on the inside, just a thin layer.

The emery cloth worked good to clean it up.

The connection is good but as soon as it gets moved a little

the plug wants to creep out of the receptacle and then

the light on the plug will go out.

I might have to replace it with a tighter receptacle for

    the Lowrance plugs.

    Everyone likes a tighter receptacle…..huh??

    Thanks for the replies.
