I bought a used prairie 650 that has a bad rear shock, and little did I know at that time that a new one is over $800, and I am not willing to part with that much cash right now. Is there such a product as any type of spacers or blocks to insert in the spring as a cheap fix to minimize the bouncing? Been searching for a deal on a used shock but have come up dry so far.

I know guys get theirs re-built for snowmobiles $100-$200 for the re-build. Not sure you can re-build all shock though.
You should be able to get it recharged and a new spring installed….if your a bigger guy and haul lots of gear, get a heavier spring, which is what I did.
Is the shock cranked all the way up already, is it adjustable?? Should be.
If you want to get by cheap, pick yourself up some spring spacers. The same style used for the front end when a plow is attached. Not sure if Kawi makes them specific to your model, but even the polaris spacer should work. They pop right in, easy install.
I have them installed on each shock both front and rear. Stiffened the ride up, added a 1/2″ of lift and takes alot more weight before it squats. The ride is much better.
