atv clutch adjustment?

I have a 98 kawasaki bayou 4×4 I believe the clutch needs adjusting went to the manual and adjusted the upper screw no problem they said no need to adjust bottom screw was wondering if anyone knows what this screw does been checking the web and can’t find any info a dealer kinda told me it should be adjusted but wouldn’t give out alot of info just wondering if it is ajusted in the same manner as the upper also have noticed that the shifting is harder when going through the gears any help thanks Eric

Go to and register on “ATV connection” and ask. Great members, very helpful! Or just go and do a search, I bet it’s been covered many times.
