Here is a sneak peak at a new sled Polaris just unveiled at the X games. My buddy Chris is spending today giving it a work out and put it to the test. It is suppose to pound the moguls and ditches. I’ll see if he can’t pop in here on Monday and give his review on it and maybe some more pics.

    Lip,
Is that a 800 or 700? What’s the price tag on the sled.

It looks like one mean sled. I can’t wait to hear what the new suspension is like.

Wow, with those mini floor boards it looks like the suspension has some crazy travel. I’m guessing its a stand up riding style.

I’d have to get the old legs in shape to make a day of it on that thing. Sure looks like fun though.

Do 5 new radiators come free with every purchase? Sure seems like a vicarious spot to put one on a sled.

I havent heard a price yet but did here that for 2010 they will only have a 600 available. More engine options to come for 2011 though

You must remember that this is just a prototype sled. Things will be tweaked on it, by the time it will be released. That is not the radiator in the front. It is the heat exchangers and Polaris says they have addressed the issue and you will not be able to damage them very easily. I just got off the phone with my buddy. He was really impressed overall with the Rush and I know he did not think highly of it going up there. It looks real small he said but it rides big. The track is just 120″ long and currently they will only be making a 600cc model. Within 30 seconds you can adjust the entire rear suspension to match the terrain you will be riding. He said if it is adjusted right, you will not bottom out on it, no matter the bump or approach you hit. This thing eats up bumps, approaches, and terrain for lunch. It is really smooth and seems extremely light and easier to move around. He said it really rides A LOT differently then the IQ chassis. It rides more closer to a Moto Cross bike. The way it jumps, handles, and etc. He said cornering is also different compared to the IQ. The price tag has not been determined. He is on his way home and said that the might have time to peak in here and answer some more questions.

Lip pretty much transcribed my report. It can be a standup style but actually doesn’t need to be. It reacts so well just to your postion on the sled you don’t need to stand up to get it to do what and when you want. Its a typical Polaris predictable handlings with a huge FUN factor. I rode an IQ at the end of ride and as good of a sled as they are it didn’t compare to the Rush. The sled must be ridden to understand.

My cousin talked to his dealer a couple of hours ago he didnt like this sled until he started adjusting on it (which took minutes). Then he said it was the best corner to corner bump to bump feild drive to field drive he has ever ridden (he races snow x)sounds like polaris might have somthing. Looks trick

Is that a old schooler Sled Necker in the Black on that pic?

That is Dan Adams an original Sledneck, very cool guy.

Eric, you are correct, they only plan to build 600’s next year. When asked if there is a longer tracked version coming out they kind of smurked like “wait till you see this”.

Love the sno scoot picture, my thoughts when I first saw it too. After I rode it, no more concerns.

    I could use a throttle cable for a sno-scoot.

Just worries me that there are a lot of new things and it looks like a lot of new stuff to go wrong… lets hope not

I hear they have some work to do on their engines. Lots of posts on the net dissatisfied with factory tune and their fuel injection system gets a lot of complaints. There’s an article about it in the current Snow Tech magazine.
