I am looking to buy a snowmobile trailer in MN and I am from IA. My question is, do you guys in MN have a registration paper for your trailers? In IA we get a registration paper and plates for the trailer. What do I need to get from the person in MN so I can license the trailer in IA?

All we get is a “Motor Vehicle Registration Card” and
if we ever sell we have to sign the back of the card
basically stating that the trailer is free from any
security interests and that it can be sold.

Most people have a “Lifetime License” on their trailer
and most don’t have license plates.

The “Lifetime License” is a small sticker that should
be located on the drivers side tongue of the trailer.

    Hope this helps.
