Good machines until you have to fix them is what I have heard. They have a reputation of not being much fun to fix.

I have had good luck with a 2003 400 4X4 and a 2004 500 MPR Auto. The few repairs we have done weren’t to bad.

I have an 07 650 H1 and it’s been great. My only issue has been batteries but that isn’t the machines fault.

Not sure if this issue was resolved. However I have seen it on 3 machines so far (all carbed ’03-04). I am not a mechanic so bear with me. The three machines all started leaking fuel onto the floor from the carbs. Some float or something drying out.

I have an 08′ 400 and I’m impressed with it. I have had the front diff blow up last year. Arctic Cat covered the parts even though it was a couple years past warrenty. If I was going to buy another it would either be a Cat of Polaris.

My 05 cat 500 has been great. No major issues. Low miles.

just saw this one on another site…
“2007 Arctic Cat 650H1 4-wheeler. Automatic, 4×4, 650cc, factory Realtree Max4 camo, 2” receiver hitch, digital gauges. Only 140 miles, like new, garage kept and covered, never trail ridden or abused. Hauled a few deer on it, but that’s about it. Asking $4700 OBO.”
bad thing is, its in illinois. let me know if you want a link.

Thanks for the link offer and replies in general but I am partial to supporting the local dealer who has always treated me right in the past. Fortunately I never had any problems and hope the new ride will be dependable also. Sounds like several of you feel the same about the quality of arctic cat atv’s. Now all I have left to do is decide on size and model. Thanks

When the 650’s came out in early 2000s they had some issues. I am sure they rectified it by now.

If you are wanting to put tracks or a plow on I would suggest a 500 cc or bigger. We plow with our 400 cc and it works great. However there are times where more is better.
