I have had an idea to get my wheeler modified to allow it to get around on the ice a lot better then the single wheel up front..My front wheel would always drop down into the wheel track from all the 4 wheelers and snowmobiles out there..

I have yet to put in to the test as there is not enough ice here or snow for that matter…
    just thought I would share

Looks nice. At least now I know why there is no ice or snow.

I remember seeing those with a single ski in front, your design looks more stable. What about the ride with no shock absorbers?

Leaf springs should take care of most of it

I think you will get around in the snow better than you ever have, looks like a nice modification.

Dave, now that’s thinking outside the box!

    Is that a 1983 185S?

I had a 1984 185S and it had shocks versus straight forks like yours. Pretty cool to see the old guy.

Doest look like those skis have carbides? If not it probably wont steer on ice, pavement or hard pack.
Always cool to see an old Honda 3-wheeler still in action.

The skis actually do have the carbides on the bottom… I found these skis over in Ohio.. The guy I bought them from was a great help in making sure I got the correct skis for the mod i was doing

I hope the skis aren’t bolted tight or you may have some tough going over uneven terrain and in snow. Looks good though.

Looks like a winner from here. I’m confident anything thats not quite perfect this go around will be corrected in the 2nd modification. Keep us updated.

That’s pretty cool Dave. Innovative. But I have to laugh thinking about your 2 new hips and watching so many of those Hover round commercials.

Great Mod! I have an ’84 200M, and I would like convert the front wheel to a pair of ski’s. Do you have any suggestions, plans, or parts resources? Thanks!

Just picked up a cheap three wheeler and I am interested in doing something similar. Could you share any info on how you did everything?
